Jackpot!
Qualified number one, winner of the race, low et. of event, European record and European Champion! In qualifying we started with a run better than the existing European record (again!) and with that we secured the no1 spot for Sunday. The first elimination run where for us against Danny Bellio and where over when Danny´s red light come on at the start.
Our semifinal run where a by to the final but we did a nice 5,73sec run to both back up our 5,68 for a official European record and lane choice in the final.
Against us in the final where our Danish friend Dan Larsen and his team. The final got to be very exiting when bouth cars got in to trouble, our car with the transmission and Dan´s car with the ignition! The exact same times (6,039) where seen on the scoreboards but when we hade a little better reaction time we got the win!
A great weekend for the whole team Leanders, not enough can be said about our Team members who have done a great job as usual.
The team that works on the car is beside Jörgen and Ulf Leanders: Tomas Nygren, Börje Mattsson, Robin Kadi, Jonny Färnlund, and then we have a lot of help from a big numbers of people to do this, A big tank’s to all involved!

Hockenheim Ring, Germany
Here we go again! Huge grandstands great audience wonderful facilities. HOCKENHEIM!! When qualifying ended on Saturday night we where second with a 5,80 sec run after a 5,79 from the only Finnish racer Jarmo “Japa” Kuttniemi. Good work Japa with team!!
On Sunday morning we where paired against Jurgen Nagel from Germany and got a win in that race with a 5,90. In second round we hade to race the Danish racer Dan Larsen that hade lane choice after a 5,86 in his previous run on the good but tricky race track. At the hit we lost traction and our weekend where over, congratulations to Dan, Joan and the whole team but expect a tough fight in England!!

Next race is at Santa Pod in England and we are now about 50 points ahead and a good shot for our third championship! Se you in England!!

Mantorp Park, Sweden

Back on our home track again, we won here both 2007 and 2008. It started good when we once again qualified number one with a 5,80. In eliminations we won against Per Håkon Troa in the quarter final, in the semi final we had a bye run because only six car entered this race.
Now we were in final against Dan Larsen from Denmark but the rain stopped us from a exciting race.
